Monthly Contests APS sponsors monthly meeting contests in the categories of General and Light Verse four times this year, with submission deadlines on the day of the meeting in September, November, January, and March. In each of the two categories, APS awards $10 for the judge's first place choice and $5 for second place. Before the awards are announced at monthly meetings, a popular vote on finalist poems is also taken. 2012 Annual Contests APS offers over $2,000 in prize money for the twenty-nine 2012 contests. Adhere rigorously to the Guidelines and Contest Rules. |
