Monthly Contests
APS sponsors two regular monthly contests in October through April, in the categories of General and Light Verse. In each of the two contests, APS awards $5 for the critic's first place choice and $3 for second place. Before the awards are announced at monthly meetings, a popular vote is also taken.
2008 Annual Contests
APS offers over $1400 in prize money for the twenty-eight 2008 contests. Fourteen of these are open to non-members at a higher entry fee, but you can join APS now for the members-only discount.
